When you begin to write an article you will find many things to consider. The most important thing is the choosing of a topic. The easiest thing to write about is something you are greatly Passionate about. When you write about your Passions and write WITH Passion, you will find your writing just flows out of you. This enthusiasm for your topic will be recognized by your reader and they will want to keep reading. This is important because editors love enthusiasm in articles. Since you are writing about something of which you have knowledge, you will save much time in research. And when you write about your Passions, your writing becomes a joyful time rather than a dreaded task. If you feel that writing in your interest area is too limiting, then branch out into similar areas. For example, if you have an expertise in chemistry, then writing about health shouldn't be too much of a learning curve for you. This will also give you a wider scope for selling your articles, as most magazines have a health section. The health articles can then be stretched to include topics on sporting injuries and how to treat them. Or perhaps nutrition, but narrow this down by focusing on various age groups. See how the ripple effect happens? It won't take long for you to be submitting articles to many different magazines and websites. You'll be writing about different topics, but you will retain your passion and enthusiasm. As a freelance writer, you are usually able to choose your own topic. But what if an editor asks you to write about something of which you have little knowledge? You can either refuse the offer or do a little research. The web is full of information which can be gathered quite quickly. Pull it all together and your article will easily be written. Another option for writing about topics with which you are unfamiliar is to outsource it. There are many businesses on the web that outsource this and other services. Do be careful, and make sure the writer you hire does original work, does not plagiarize from the internet, and has good spelling and grammar skills. You don't want your reputation to suffer. When publishing articles on the internet, you seldom run across an editor who actually reads you article to approve it for publication. That leaves to you the burden of making sure your facts are correct. You need to fill you articles with good, solid content. And keep them fresh! This will certainly help to make you known. As an example, it is common knowledge that your dog needs to be provided with food, water, and exercise. But does everyone know that dogs with droopy ears need to have them inspected frequently for ticks and other disease? In other words, don't waste your readers time with basic information. Give them new facts that they did not know. Or challenge them with new thoughts and ideas for them to ponder. How to choose that topic? Choose one for which you have a Passion. Because you have this Passion, you will be able to provide new and interesting facts and ideas for your readers. Your Passion will help you to write with enthusiasm. it won't take long for you to get the juices going and start submitting lots of good quality articles.
